Cosmopolitan Martini Recipe
Ingredients
4 parts Citron Vodka
2 parts Cointreau or Triple Sec
2 parts Cranberry Juice
1 part Lime Fresh Juice
Shake all four ingredients together in cool unique martini glasses!
How about this for a winter warmer (I know it’s no longer winter, officially, but this is ‘a little something’ to give you a nice rosy glow):
(1) Take a long, straight-sided glass, half-filled with crushed ice.
(2) Very slowly, pour in one measure of Drambuie
(3) Again, v. slowly pour in one measure of Scotch
(4) Repeat steps (2) and (3) in that order
(5) Slowly top up glass with soda water
Tequila Sunrise is my fave..2 shots tequila, fill almost to rim with OJ and top off with a splash of grenadiene..
Sweet-tart..any red color Pucker, blue raspsberry Pucker..*one shot of each* .a shot of vodka..and Sprite
Of course you need to have rum and Coke on hand…and some lime wedges
Lemon Drop…equal amounts of vodka and lemon juice..and one or 2 sugar cubes..if your making large cocktails glasses..use 2..if in a martini glass..use one
Always have your basics on Hand..vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila, grenadine, juices, soda and garnishes..olives, lemon wedges, lime wedges, cherries….after ppl start letting loose they will start mixing their own cocktails..
My favourite is “Cipirinha” a Brazilian cocktail and the preparation is simple.
Ingredients:
Lime
Sugar (2 to 3 Tbsp.) Demerara (brown cane sugar) would be better
Ice
Brazilian Cachaça (ka-shah-sa)
Steps:
Cut the lime into eight wedges (not slices)
Remove the white line over the lemon pulp (This white line let a bitter taste)
Muddle/crush with the help of a wood spoon (or something like it) the lime over the sugar.
Fill the glass with crushed ice.
Pour in the cachaça.
Stir.
Serve with a straw.
If you can’t find cachaça you can use rum wish makes it a Cipirissima or vodka wish makes it a Cipiroska.
